Stone Bridge of Pili

Built in 1514 by Agios Vissarion, the Stone Bridge of Pili is an architectural marvel that connects the Koziakas and Itamos mountains. At 65 meters long and 13 meters high, this bridge is not only a historical landmark but also a popular destination for those seeking scenic walks and breathtaking views. From here, you can begin your journey on the path that leads to the Porta Panagia Church, a Byzantine treasure dating back to 1,283 AD. This easy path is ideal for a relaxing afternoon stroll, and along the way, you can stop for a coffee at the nearby café-bar, which offers stunning views of the river and bridge.

Waterfalls of Desi

Hidden within the rugged landscape of Mount Halibuton are the spectacular Waterfalls of Desi, the tallest waterfalls in southern Pindos. The smaller of the two stands at 30 meters high, while the larger reaches a staggering 100 meters. Both waterfalls are a must-see for nature lovers and adventurous souls. The area is also home to Lego Cave, a 70-meter deep cave located near the smaller waterfall. Visiting these waterfalls offers a unique opportunity to connect with the raw beauty of Greece’s natural landscapes.

The Church of Agia Paraskevi

Located between the villages of Neraidochori and Pyrra, the Church of Agia Paraskevi is a historic site built in 1795. Its location, perched on a hill with unobstructed views of the surrounding area, makes it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The panoramic view from the church is worth the visit alone, while the peaceful atmosphere offers a moment of spiritual reflection amidst your travels

Pertouli Fields & Ski Center

If you're visiting during the winter months, the Pertouli Ski Center offers an exciting range of activities, from skiing and snowboarding to horse riding and archery. Located at an altitude of 1,200 meters, the Pertouli Fields are known for their beautiful alpine scenery, which changes with the seasons. In winter, they are blanketed in snow, providing the perfect setting for winter sports, while in spring, the meadows bloom with vibrant wildflowers. The ski resort is one of the most accessible in Greece, with parking available right at the base of the slopes. Don’t miss the cozy chalets, where you can enjoy a hot drink by the fire after a day on the slopes.

. Hiking Trails and Peaks

For those who love hiking, Elati is the perfect base to explore the mountain peaks of Koziakas (1,750 meters) and Avgo, among others. The trails vary in difficulty, catering to both beginners and experienced hikers. One of the most popular routes is the hike to the Koziaka Shelter, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape at an altitude of 1,901 meters. The trail starts near the Pertouli Ski Resort or from Elati village itself, and is one of the most beautiful paths in the region.

Stone Bridge of Palaiokaria

Situated between Neraidochori and Pertouli, the Stone Bridge of Palaiokaria is one of the most iconic landmarks of the region. The bridge is famous for the waterfall that cascades directly behind it, creating a stunning backdrop that is perfect for photography and picnics. This location is ideal for a relaxed day out, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and enjoy a meal amidst the sounds of the rushing water.
